Assalaamualikum Wr Wb,
In all the post related to Knowledge I mean the Knowledge of the Quran and Sunnah. As we read and ponder over these two sources we get to know clearly that acquiring Knowledge is very important and the lack of it leads us to misguidance. Inshallah we can see some Ayats from the Quran which prove this fact that people without knowledge are misguided.
And those who have no knowledge say: “Why does not Allâh speak to us (face to face) or why does not a sign come to us?” So said the people before them words of similar import. Their hearts are alike, We have indeed made plain the signs for people who believe with certainty. Surah Al Baqarah, V: 118
And when it is said to them: “Come to what Allâh has revealed and unto the Messenger (Muhammad SAW for the verdict of that which you have made unlawful).” They say: “Enough for us is that which we found our fathers following,” even though their fathers had no knowledge whatsoever and nor guidance. Surah Al Maidah, V: 97
Yet, they join the jinn as partners in worship with Allâh, though He has created them (the jinn), and they attribute falsely without knowledge sons and daughters to Him. Be He Glorified and Exalted above all that (evil) they attribute to Him. Surah Al Anaam, V: 100
And why should you not eat of that (meat) on which Allâh’s Name has been pronounced (at the time of slaughtering the animal), while He has explained to you in detail what is forbidden to you, except under compulsion of necessity? And surely many do lead (mankind) astray by their own desires through lack of knowledge. Certainly your Lord knows best the transgressors. Surah Al Anaam, V: 119
Indeed lost are they who have killed their children, foolishly, without knowledge, and have forbidden that which Allâh has provided for them, inventing a lie against Allâh. They have indeed gone astray and were not guided. Surah Al Anaam, V: 140
They may bear their own burdens in full on the Day of Resurrection, and also of the burdens of those whom they misled without knowledge. Evil indeed is that which they shall bear! Surah An Nahl, V: 25
No knowledge have they of such a thing, nor had their fathers. Mighty is the word that comes out of their mouths (i.e. He begot sons and daughters). They utter nothing but a lie. Surah Al Kahf, V: 5
And among mankind is he who disputes concerning Allâh, without knowledge, and follows every rebellious (disobedient to Allâh) Shaitân (devil) (devoid of every kind of good). Surah Al Hajj, V: 3
Till, when they come (before their Lord at the place of reckoning), He will say: “Did you deny My Ayât (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) where as you comprehended them not by knowledge (of their truth or falsehood), or what (else) was it that you used to do?” Surah Al Naml, V: 84
But they have no knowledge thereof. They follow but a guess, and verily, guess is no substitute for the truth. Surah An Najm, V: 28
Remember there are many people who know the Quran and Sunnah very well but still they too are misguided. These are those who have been fooled by Shaitan. These are those who have divided the Ummah. Inshallah my next post will be on this topic.
