Story of Hazrat Hud (A.S.) part 1

There are many prophets who are discussed in traditions of Christians and Jews. Muslims believe on all these prophets as it is required by Islam. Many books and instructions from Allah (S.W.T.) have been changed except Quran therefore it is the only source of guidance in the present world.

Hazrat Hud (A.S.) was sent as a messenger from Allah (S.W.T.) for guidance of people who were not on the right path. He guided them to worship Allah (S.W.T.) and obey his commands. This was the same message which was given by all the messengers and prophets, from Allah (S.W.T.).

Aad was an ancient civilization to which Hazrat Hud (A.S.) belonged. People of Aad were tall and strong and they had many blessings from Allah (S.W.T.). They were given fertile land and a lot of livestock. They had easy access to water and they have children for their support. People of Aad were famous for making towers and the area had many towers and pillars of different types. People of Aad were rich and wealthy.

They like to display their wealth and made towers and buildings which were of no use. They were thinking that they are going to live forever in this world. Satan misguided these people and spread idolatry among them. These people were greedy and spreading violence on earth. With increasing wealth and strength their greed was also increasing.

These people were not following right paths of Islam and they were not among the believers. Hazrat Hud (A.S.) was given the task to guide these people and lead them to become believers. He guided them and told them by accepting the right path they will get many types of benefits.

Allah (S.W.T.) will help them and increase their strength. He said to his people that you must worship Allah (S.W.T.) to get more power and strength. Disbelievers paid no attention to calling from Hazrat Hud (A.S.) and they continue their wrong actions. These people had no concept about the Day of Judgment and they were thinking that they will not given, life after death.

People of Aad had a concept that life is given to get wealth and progress. They believe that after death the body is not going to be made again for making decisions on the basis of actions in this world. Hazrat Hud (A.S.) warned them and guided them that all humans would be checked on the basis of their actions in this world.

Decisions would be made in the life of next world and those who do not believe would suffer with losses. Disbelievers were not willing to admit that they will get a new life for decisions based on this life. Hazrat Hud (A.S.) guided disbelievers that this life is not permanent and all humans have to live only for a certain time.

This limited time is given to do good acts so that success could be obtained in the life of next world. People of Aad were enjoying many blessings from Allah (S.W.T.) therefore they decided to not to listen to the guidance from Hazrat Hud (A.S.) and continued their acts of disbelief and errors.
